Established in November 2011 by Durmuş Ali Kasap, D.A. Architects is an architectural design practice based in Izmir. Our portfolio includes extensive experience in architecture, interior design, furniture design, and construction. We believe our work exemplifies our vision and passion for designing well. Through our careful approach to each project, we consider our designs in local, regional, and global contexts. Our projects not only range in location, but range in a wide spectrum of scales from large industrial facilities to residential buildings and offices, to furniture design and objects, thus increasing our overall influence on the built environment.
In our designs, we strive to optimize building placement, form, and material use through detailed research and rigorous studies on program, site, function, and history. We approach every project as an opportunity for social and technological integration, community development, and environmental awareness which we believe provides a basis for developing creative design solutions. Through a holistic and systemic design approach with a sensitivity that prioritizes the user experience, we aim to create lasting social, economic, and environmental impacts with each project.
